Tahini with Hazelnuts
  • 1cup hazelnuts
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/3cup tahini
  • 1/2cup water
  • lemon juice
  • salt to taste
  1. Toast the hazelnuts at medium heat until brown, for 5 minutes. (You can also toast them in the oven at 350 ˚F for 5–7 minutes).
  2. Place the hazelnuts on a towel to take its cover out. Crush them and mix them with the garlic cloves and the tahini.
  3. Add the lemon juice, whisking with a fork.
  4. Add the water while whisking with the fork, until getting a consistency like a paste, similar to the heavy cream.
  5. Add salt to taste.
