  • 4 eggs
  • 8 egg whites
  • 1 litter milk
  • 1 cup Kahlúa (8 ounces)
  • 8 tablespoons sugar
  • 14 ounces coffee decaf
  • 1 tablespoon coffe expresso

  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions
  1. Boil the milk with the coffee. Set it aside.
  2. In a bowl beat the eggs, the Kahlúa and the sugar. Then mix it with the milk and the coffee.
  3. In a mold previously covered with caramel, pour in the mix and bake it in double boiler, at 350 ˚F, for an hour and a half.
  4. Let the flan cool off. Then unmold it and serve it cold.
Directions for the caramel
  1. Cook the sugar at middle heat, until it changes color. Move carefully the pan you use, for the paste to become uniform. Don’t let the paste to turn too dark; otherwise it will change to a bitter taste.
  2. Bathe the mold to use. Let the caramel become hard before pouring the flan mixture.

  1. Will try this recipe. But Want to know what to do with the 8 egg whites. Do you mix it in with the 4 eggs. Picture looks delicious. Thanks for an answer.
